VALENTINE BLUES
Happy belated Valentine's Day my lovelies! :) Aww shucks, each and every one of you are my valentine this yeah, awww yeah! So, as stated before, my floormates + Julie decided to celebrate v-day a day early by having a nice "classy" dinner at Cheesecake Factory in SF, might as well pile up on the carbs since we're alone anyways right? Totes!
I honestly don't know why we decided to wear heels to frolic around in the city (We obviously wanted to be badass motherfuckazzz! Or we attempted to be), but we did. Especially with my swollen ankle, I realized it was a bad idea the moment we hit the pavement in SF, shit. But we roughed it out, and appeared all glamourous and shit (more like tripping and sliding all over the place) while trying to wait out the 90 minute wait for a table of 8. Oy! But we did, well our poor stomaches barely did as we devoured the two basket of bread within 5 seconds upon sitting. Go fatties! The dinner was delicious, the conversations were memorable; the whole night was lovely, fun, and a little oh la laa! ;)
Monday morning, DUN DUN DUN, D-DAY (Domesday), I received two packages that just made my whole day a whole lot sweeter. My best friend, Josh from UCSD, sent me two boxes of thin mints (my fav!) just because he's the sweetest guy ever! They're delicious and happily in my tummy (or more likely, my ass) OH, OH, OH! I also got my giveaway package from Chelsea ver at Zipped, and it made me smile so big! Thank you two for making me super gushingly happy on such a day!
Later on that day, after all the dreadful classes and dribble drabble of rain, Julie and I opted for a sad approach to the whole day. Rather than a happy "LOOK WE'RE SO IN LUBBB CAUSE I HAZ BALLOONS AND CHOCOLATE AND WE KISSY KISSY" kind of ordeal, cause, well were not in a relationship, we went on a friendly date. We had dinner at Bongo Burger, which was super delicious and scrumptious and meaty, yum. After that we took a stroll down to Shattuck Cinema to watch Blue Valentines, which we heard would bring on the waterworks and we were ready to cry, cry, cry. And boy did we cry.
Blue Valentine was heartwrenchingly real and, as cynical as it may sound, it made me realize how lucky I am to be single. Coupledom just spells out DOME (HA, HA GET IT? I MADE A FUNNY IN A SAD SITUATION! GO ME!) to me at the moment. I couldn't possibly handle such a big THING in my little life right now. I'm just happy being...me! I cried within the first 10 minutes and did not stop until the credits stopped rolling. I was in shock. My heart ached for them. My heart ached for me. My heart just ached. It was a brilliant movie to say the least, but not something I'd watch again anytime soon. Or ever.

HO11A FOR 2011
11 New Years resolution for 2011:
1. Stop waiting for things to happen and just go for it.
2. Think positively. Stop being a debbie downer/party poop/lame-o!
3. Remember more of my nights...a nicer way of saying that I need to drink less.
4. Keep in better contact with old friends.
5. Move more! Stop being so lazy, it's time to finally experience the runner's high.
6. Be more social in the real world. Go out and join clubs, meet new people, etc.
7. Write for something. Whether it be the daily cal, a school magazine, or an internet blog, I don't care! I just want something to get my creative juices flowing (and my brain occupied)
8. Be more responsible. We can start this rolling by going to class (especially by going to class) and getting a job (my first!)
9. To care less about what other people think about me and to let it affect me less.
10. Self. Control. Enough said.
11. Use the internet less. Shocking right!? My friends believe that having a facebook, twitter, tumblr, lookbook, and a blog is starting to take a toll on my...dare I say it...real life. So, in an attempt to please everyone (and myself, I'm friendless!) I will try to limit my internet usage.
New years eve was very low key and chill this year. Laura and I drove up to Grizzly Peak/Fish Ranch (depending on what side of the bay you're from), a very infamous "hang out" spot in Berkeley that looks into SF. It's absolutely gorgeous, breath-taking, jaw dropping, and any other cool way of saying awesome. Since it was absolutely freezing and raining, we were able to see the fireworks in the city in the comfort of our own car, score! We jammed out to jammin' (oh yeah, I went there) mixes and bumpin' my car, completely 101% sober. Yeah, it was a very different NYE than the year before. Hm uh ohh yeah, we did get into this fierce dance off in the new year with this stranger who was grinding and gyrating on my car...but that's another story.
2010 was a fabulous year full of good friends, new friends, make ups, break ups, epic moments, ridiculous fails, and above all, amazing memories. 2011, you have huge shoes to fill and I hope you'll come through for all of us.

P.S. LOOK AT THE TITLE, WITTY HUH?! HUH? HUHH? THE 1s are Ls, CHEYAA! Yeah, I try and I'm awesome I know (Maybe being less cocky and awesome should be a resolution...nah, I'm far too cool for that, psh!)
What are your new years resolution?

I-N-D-E-P-E-N-D-E-N-T DO YOU KNOW WHAT THAT MEAN?
Long ass title but it's fittingly appropriate. Let me explain. I used to be the person who wouldn't go shopping alone, who wouldn't go to the grocery store alone, who wouldn't even like frolicking on the daisy abundant fields alone (okay, who would do this alone? oh, you would? ohhh...awkward...) After just a semi-short, semi-long semester off (okay, twenty minutes away...but still) at college but I came back a changed women (girl, chick, baby gurrrlll, vagina carrier, or whatever). Now, I actually enjoy it and sometimes even prefer it. It's nice to be able to do something by yourself for yourself, it's awesomely liberating. HIP HIP HORRAY FOR WOMEN AND INDEPENDENCE!
My post-Christmas shopping extravaganza wasn't my typical "let's hit the mall!," oh no, no no no! (I've been avoiding my mega packed super ghetto mall like the plague, lame.) But it practically forces me to be more proactive and shop at different places unless I want to get mugged or cat-called at (the lather I mind less).
So to the thrift stores I ventured! It also didn't hurt that goodwill was 50% off on the 26th and salvation army was over 50% off, score! I forgot how much I loved thrift stores; they push you to try things you would never even imagine to pick up! Unlike normal stores like F21 and Urban Outfitters, thrift stores don't have genres of clothing and they don't carry what's "in" or hip at the moment. It also makes me want to revamp clothing that I like into something I'll love and be proud of rather than spending quadruple the amount of money I would've at a store on something generic that everyone else will also be sporting.
On the 26th, I thrifted with my bestie laura and then my mother, and both trips were fairly different experiences. When I thrift with laura, it's magic, we have this sort of chemistry that just flows between us. We know what each other digs and what we don't and it's fun to pick random weird stuff to try on (and end up loving...okay, only I do but still!) When I thrift with my mother, it's different. I'm not saying it's not fun but it's not the same. She still thinks I dress odd, weird, crazy, and teenage-like (well...duh). But still, she likes it...sometimes. So when I thrift with her, it's nice to have her pick up the tab (cheap is still not cheap enough for a poor college student like me, boo.)
What were we talking about again? Oh yeah, independence. Well on the 27th (today), I decided to do it solo (NOT LIKE THAT...get your minds out of the gutters...heh I still giggled). I used to hate shopping with just me, myself and I but I found it to be refreshing. It was nice to shop at my own pace, to dwiddle dwaddle around looking at ludicrous stuff, and actually like it. Chheyaaa, I definitely felt like the girl WEBBIE rapped about, but on a lesser level (I'm not THAT independent...yet!) Nevertheless, it was still a small victory for moi! Can I get a what what?!
(LOOK AT MY FACE, I'M SO MUGGIN' AT THE CAMERA AHAHA!)

MY BEARD IS FESTIVE
Yes, yes, it is. My desktop background so elegantly states it so.
A quick little post to get the holiday festivities rolling...
Instead of doing a holiday wishlist, I'm going to start a new tradition. This is the first (of many to come) holiday want-to-do-list! It's a compilation of sexy good looking men I wish I was getting all hot and heavy with underneath the mistletoe this Christmas.
My Holiday Want-to-do-list (you may look but don't you dare touch!):
1. Francisco Lachowski
The epitome of sexy, Francisco (aka Chico) is panty dropping hot. Of course he would be a brazilian male model, the brazilians have the sexy baby formula down solid (share with the rest of the world please! we need to share the sexiness!) Besides being oober good looking, he is adorable beyond words. Since he's only 18, he's super goofy and seems so down to earth, which makes him THAT much sexier, AH!2. Enrique Iglesias
I personally breathed the same air as Enrique Iglesias for about 20 minutes and it was the best 20 minutes of my life. I almost died right on the spot as my life was then complete.3. Joseph Gordon-Levitt
Just rewatched 500 Days of Summer and my love for JGL blossomed some more! I love how versatile this man is; from being slickly suave in Inception to adorably geeky in 10 Things I Hate About You to indie chic in 500 Days of Summer. And through all that, he manages to look unbelievably doable in every role.4. James Franco

He's just so damn adorable and fuckable. And he's even wearing plaid, my kryptonite! Looking good with the scruff my man!
5. Andrew Garfield
Andrew is a newly acquired lover of mine. After seeing him as Eduardo in The Social Network, I fell. No, I swoooooned! He's so UUMMPH and MMMHM, I just want to AHHH! Good thing he's in the new Spiderman movie, and word on the street is that the crew spent a whole day trying to cover up his enormous..."package" for the movie. Yup, you heard me right. No more needs to be said.
MERRY CHRISTMAS WORLD!
HAPPY HOLIDAYS EVERYONE!
Be thankful for all you have, be grateful for all that is going well, be happy that you're alive because it's mothereffin' Christmas yo! Go out and party it up! Drink a little too much eggnog, eat like there's no tomorrow, love until your pores ooze out love, and do it BIG. Love you all and be safe in the most dangerous ways possible, YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN!

LETS SCARF
Wooooooot for winter break! For the past four days I've been in an indefinite insomniac zone; bed at 6AM, wake up at 2PM. Hmmm, problem? NOPE! That's how winter break should be spent, duh! It's been amazing catching up with old friends, make plans with new friends, and eating delicious home cooked comida! Even though it's been literally heaven, I slightly miss CAL already (shhh, don't tell anyone because I'll shamelessly deny it!) I loved having all my friends just a couple doors down instead of having to drive 20 minutes to see anyone. But still, I'm making the most of my month off. I'm hoping for a little road trip to...let's say SOCAL? Since the quarter system kids are back in school in a week and a half, my semester friends and I thought it would be epic to road trip down to san louis obispo, LA, and SD to visit our friends and do a little sight seeing (beach seeing more like!). YEAH YEAH? FUCK YEAH! My dearest mommy even OKAY-ed the whole shingding! Ahhh, this better happen! Fingers crossed!
Tired of Cafe 3, the roomie and I ventured off to Cafe Durant for brunch. Delicious, relatively cheap, and CAL-ed out, I think I can get used to this place! What makes it even better is that there's seating outside on the balcony, and you know what that means...it's perfect for stalking the people passing by! My favorite game!
I wore the outfit to my family celebration at Dragon 2000 in Walnut Creek. My baby cousin Kyle is already a month old, how precious! It sucks being away at college because I've only seen him twice since he was born and he's growing up so fast! Pretty soon his family is moving to China and I'll rarely get to see him. Sad. But anyways, it was nice seeing everyone again but I had to dip out early because it was my bestie Maria's 19th birthday! GOLLY GEE!
So dearly sorry about these terrible pictures, the combination of rain+darkness+impatient brother=fail fail fail and...wait for it...FAIL!
It's almost Christmas! Yay! I love everything about this holiday; from the twinkling lights, to the decorated delicious smelling tree, to the ornaments that bring forth memories, to the belly busting food, to the beautifully wrapped presents. What I love beyond all else is the spirit of Christmas. The spirit brings smiles to children, adults, and elders all the same. It's such a beautiful thing.
P.S. DO NOT, I REPEAT, DO NOT WATCH HUMAN CENTIPEDE! Curious and bored, I thought the movie would provide some sort of entertainment because it slightly reminded me of the Saw series (which I love!) But no, it is not like that AT ALL. There is absolutely no plot or point to the movie at all, I watched all 94 minutes and all I saw were human lips being sewed to the assholes of one another, yeah, you heard right, lips to ass. It's seriously that disturbing. What a waste of a hour and a half of my life, I would have much rather spent that time staring at a blank white white wall.
Christmas is in 4 days, what's on YOUR wish list?

POST TURTURKEYKEY
The last four days have been heavenly, scratch that, mashed potatoly (cause mashed potatoes taste like heaven, get it get it? HAHAA!) to say the least. With the endless nights, the restless days, the late mornings, slipperless showers, blasting my car stereo, rocking out, laughing till I can't breath, long ass chit chats, gossiping, fast food run, thrifting, adventures, broken high beams, etc. etc. etc. it was starting to remind us of our summer days. It was tear-inducingly lovely.
It's a weird and surreal feeling being back home with all of my high school BFF4LZZ. We seem to have picked up exactly where we left off as if the last 3 months never even happened. It simply thrills me to no ends. I love having such a close knit group of friends that I know will be there for me no matter what. It's such a great thing to smile about and my mood has been extraordinarily blissful and wonderful. Just three more stressful weeks (FINALS, FINALS, FINALS!) and I'm HOME FREE! I. CAN'T. WAIT!

As these pictures do tell, the glorious Christmas spirit is among us! HIP HIP HORRAY! My friends and I trekked up to SF for the tree lightening ceremony. The city was still buzzing on the black friday high and the cold was not crisp as ice like I had anticipated when we arrived; it was a beautiful night in the city I love so so much. The whole night was filled with laughter, love, awe, and memories. The city was all lit up with beautiful lights and the tree was HUGE! I had no idea that it was an ACTUAL Christmas tree made of real wood and all. I wonder how they got it into Union Square, I would've much rather watched that then the tree lighting. Overall, I went home empty handed but I didn't mind it one bit.
My awesome, amazing, lazy, calorie-filled Thanksgiving vacation is coming to an end, sadly. Being lazy ol' me, I'm trying to delay the inevitable return to CAL by staying home an extra day, mainly so I wouldn't have to leave my couch. It seems as though my butt and my couch have consummated as one. Yup, the couch wined and dined my ass and after several dates (aka hours) they decided to take the plunge and get hitched! So now they're on their hunky dory honeymoon so I have to stay otherwise I'd become a terrible home wrecker. See, totally legit excuse for me to stay home. YEAAH!

GIVING THANKS
Yes I know this is very very late but HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE! I hope each and every one of you ate mountains of freshly mashed mashed potatoes, countless biscuits smothered in butter, slices upon slices of turkey (both dark and light meat), even the veggies (say hey to peas and carrots), and, of course, scrumptious mouth watering pumpkin pie! Ahh, thanksgiving food is what we dream about for 365 days a year and it never fails to disappoint. But there's more to thanksgiving than the food, believe it or not...

Whats better than food you say? The company, DUH! What's better than spending time with your family?!! My family, no matter how dysfunctional and crazy they are, are the only group of people I want to be with on such a special occasion. Why you may ask? What other family coerces, no forces, you to take shots with them? Mind you, I'm only eighteen, which is underage in the states. Better yet, I ended up being the DD for my own mother. I love these crazy asians with all my life. Oh the joys of the holiday!

10 things I'm thankful for in 2010:
1. No matter how much I bitch and complain about CAL, I'm super grateful I have the opportunity to go to such an amazing university. GO BEARS!2. The new friendships I've made in college, you guys are the reason I'm both crazy and sane...at the same time. What would I ever do without you guys? I do not want to find out.
3. Finding Intermezzo cafe. The veggie delight salad is freaking DELICIOUS! The portions are ginormous and the food is fresh and yummy! I'm so craving it now ahh!
4. Bear market. Convenient? yes. Delicious? yes. Good for my diet? no. I love it, worship it, appreciate it nonetheless. I need a frequent shoppers card there already.
5. Nature. Even with the cool technology and pretty skyscrapers and sexy cars we have these days, nature is still mind boggling amazing! It reaffirms the beauty, the mystery, the lovely in the world at times when all I can see is the bad in it. It's beautiful and gorgeous and so so pretty.
6. In-n-out. SO YUMMY, END OF STORY. SORRY YA EAST COAST SUCKAS! (JK! YOU HAVE WHITE CASTLE, SO JEALOUS! BUT I STILL WOULDN'T TRADE OUR IN-N-OUTS FOR WHITE CASTLES, NEVER EVER NEVER!...SUCKAS!)
7. My ability to fall asleep anywhere and my ability to sleep through everything. There's always so much construction going on outside our dorms so it's such a good skill to be able to sleep through anything otherwise you'll just waste precious sleep time being P.Oed!
8. My family. Thank you for standing behind any decisions I make about my future, thank you for letting me be the boss of my future, thank you for letting me explore my dreams and aspirations and not pushing me towards one certain field or career. I throughly appreciate this yet you'll never have any idea how truly grateful I actually am.
9. Self timer. I would be photoless if not for the self timer. Im still far too shy/embarrassed to ask my friends to take outfit photos for me so I usually rely on the trusty ol' self timer. Even though it's fairly difficult to master the daunting skill of being able to take kick ass pictures with the self timer, I'm determined to do so, believe me!
10. Last, but certainly not the least, my followers and readers. You guys are amazing and if I could I would send each and every one of you a red velvet cupcake covered with rainbow sprinkles and baked with nothing but love. I love you guys!
