POST TURTURKEYKEY

The last four days have been heavenly, scratch that, mashed potatoly (cause mashed potatoes taste like heaven, get it get it? HAHAA!) to say the least. With the endless nights, the restless days, the late mornings, slipperless showers, blasting my car stereo, rocking out, laughing till I can't breath, long ass chit chats, gossiping, fast food run, thrifting, adventures, broken high beams, etc. etc. etc. it was starting to remind us of our summer days. It was tear-inducingly lovely.
It's a weird and surreal feeling being back home with all of my high school BFF4LZZ. We seem to have picked up exactly where we left off as if the last 3 months never even happened. It simply thrills me to no ends. I love having such a close knit group of friends that I know will be there for me no matter what. It's such a great thing to smile about and my mood has been extraordinarily blissful and wonderful. Just three more stressful weeks (FINALS, FINALS, FINALS!) and I'm HOME FREE! I. CAN'T. WAIT!
As these pictures do tell, the glorious Christmas spirit is among us! HIP HIP HORRAY! My friends and I trekked up to SF for the tree lightening ceremony. The city was still buzzing on the black friday high and the cold was not crisp as ice like I had anticipated when we arrived; it was a beautiful night in the city I love so so much. The whole night was filled with laughter, love, awe, and memories. The city was all lit up with beautiful lights and the tree was HUGE! I had no idea that it was an ACTUAL Christmas tree made of real wood and all. I wonder how they got it into Union Square, I would've much rather watched that then the tree lighting. Overall, I went home empty handed but I didn't mind it one bit.
My awesome, amazing, lazy, calorie-filled Thanksgiving vacation is coming to an end, sadly. Being lazy ol' me, I'm trying to delay the inevitable return to CAL by staying home an extra day, mainly so I wouldn't have to leave my couch. It seems as though my butt and my couch have consummated as one. Yup, the couch wined and dined my ass and after several dates (aka hours) they decided to take the plunge and get hitched! So now they're on their hunky dory honeymoon so I have to stay otherwise I'd become a terrible home wrecker. See, totally legit excuse for me to stay home. YEAAH!

GIVING THANKS

Yes I know this is very very late but HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE! I hope each and every one of you ate mountains of freshly mashed mashed potatoes, countless biscuits smothered in butter, slices upon slices of turkey (both dark and light meat), even the veggies (say hey to peas and carrots), and, of course, scrumptious mouth watering pumpkin pie! Ahh, thanksgiving food is what we dream about for 365 days a year and it never fails to disappoint. But there's more to thanksgiving than the food, believe it or not...
Whats better than food you say? The company, DUH! What's better than spending time with your family?!! My family, no matter how dysfunctional and crazy they are, are the only group of people I want to be with on such a special occasion. Why you may ask? What other family coerces, no forces, you to take shots with them? Mind you, I'm only eighteen, which is underage in the states. Better yet, I ended up being the DD for my own mother. I love these crazy asians with all my life. Oh the joys of the holiday!
10 things I'm thankful for in 2010:
1. No matter how much I bitch and complain about CAL, I'm super grateful I have the opportunity to go to such an amazing university. GO BEARS!
2. The new friendships I've made in college, you guys are the reason I'm both crazy and sane...at the same time. What would I ever do without you guys? I do not want to find out.
3. Finding Intermezzo cafe. The veggie delight salad is freaking DELICIOUS! The portions are ginormous and the food is fresh and yummy! I'm so craving it now ahh!
4. Bear market. Convenient? yes. Delicious? yes. Good for my diet? no. I love it, worship it, appreciate it nonetheless. I need a frequent shoppers card there already.
5. Nature. Even with the cool technology and pretty skyscrapers and sexy cars we have these days, nature is still mind boggling amazing! It reaffirms the beauty, the mystery, the lovely in the world at times when all I can see is the bad in it. It's beautiful and gorgeous and so so pretty.
6. In-n-out. SO YUMMY, END OF STORY. SORRY YA EAST COAST SUCKAS! (JK! YOU HAVE WHITE CASTLE, SO JEALOUS! BUT I STILL WOULDN'T TRADE OUR IN-N-OUTS FOR WHITE CASTLES, NEVER EVER NEVER!...SUCKAS!)
7. My ability to fall asleep anywhere and my ability to sleep through everything. There's always so much construction going on outside our dorms so it's such a good skill to be able to sleep through anything otherwise you'll just waste precious sleep time being P.Oed!
8. My family. Thank you for standing behind any decisions I make about my future, thank you for letting me be the boss of my future, thank you for letting me explore my dreams and aspirations and not pushing me towards one certain field or career. I throughly appreciate this yet you'll never have any idea how truly grateful I actually am.
9. Self timer. I would be photoless if not for the self timer. Im still far too shy/embarrassed to ask my friends to take outfit photos for me so I usually rely on the trusty ol' self timer. Even though it's fairly difficult to master the daunting skill of being able to take kick ass pictures with the self timer, I'm determined to do so, believe me!
10. Last, but certainly not the least, my followers and readers. You guys are amazing and if I could I would send each and every one of you a red velvet cupcake covered with rainbow sprinkles and baked with nothing but love. I love you guys!

GOLDEN BEARS

It's the BIG GAME WEEK here at CAL, WOOT GO BEARS! What does this mean? It means we're totally going to dominate the dreaded STANFURD (aka Stanford, YUCK! TEEHEE JK!) Literally everything here is bleeding blue and gold. LITERALLY. AND I LOVE IT SO SO MUCH! I wish CAL looks like this all year round, that would just be lovely.

"IT LOOKS LIKE DISNEYLAND!" Tis it does.
From the rooftop of Campbell. Look at the bay, it's sooo purty!

My school's beautiful. It makes me happy. Minus the class and grades part.

SANDCASTLE IN THE SAND-ROBIN SPARKLES

A week in photos (and some stranglers that didn't make past posts):

This week felt like a blur. I felt like I didn't do much-I didn't. I felt like I don't remember much-I don't. Regardless, it was nice. It was a week of too much: too much food, too much free time, too much ditching, too much sleeping, too much partying, too much falling, too much Modern Family, too much complaining, too much sunlight, too much of not doing work. Oh the consequences of being young. And naive. And bored. And procrastinating.

P.S. Another new layout. Simpler. Classier. Prettier. Inputs?

SEXY SEX SEX SEXXX

Wild Child
Magazine: Marie Clarie UK
Issue: December 2010
Model: Leighton Meester (aka Blair Waldorf aka SEX GOD aka the reason for my hard on)
Photographer: Christophe Melmoon
Stylist: Lisa Oxenham

Leighton definitely looks like she's channeling Kate Beckinsale in this editorial right? Toootally. I am utterly in love with the massive curly swooshy hair picture; I just want to cuddle up and get forever tangled up in her soft swishy hair. She's also looking a bit like Eva Longoria, who's gorgeous as well. Not such a big fan of the colored photos, I'm not completely sure why, it might have to do with the fact that I dig her more as a brunette or something like that, there's just something off about the colored ones. But the B&W ones, mannnn, those definitely have me going GAGA! Girl is beautiful, she can really do no wrong in my eyes, gahh I have such a girl boner for her!

P.S. Just ordered myself a birthday present. It's a little bit on the extravagant/pricey side, but hey, a girl only turns 18 once right?! Well, technically it's a graduation/congratulations/happy birthday gift soo it's totally justified. YEAA. there we goo! What is it? Well, just wait and see! I definitely can't wait for its arrival!

ADMIST THE STARS AND PARALLAX

Astronomy homework. That I completely and utterly forgot about. EEKS! As always, I'm procrastination and waiting until it's practically due to start my assignment. When will I ever learn? Still, my addiction to tumblr is getting way out of hand. These inspirational photos make me feel on top of the world invincible and believe that anything is possible. It must be amazing to have that sort of mentality, I wonder if I'll ever be able to achieve it. I can only hope so.

Time for another list.
It's a bit like a bucket list.
Tailored just for me.

TEN THINGS I WANT TO DO BEFORE THE SEMESTER ENDS:
1. Hike, climb and conquer the Big C. Then proceed to have a lovely picnic on top of it.
2. Try something, anything that I haven't done before.
3. Finish an essay without having to pull an all nighter.
4. Appreciate something for the way it is and the fact that nothing needs to change.
5. Appreciate something for the way it is yet have the burning urge to change it.
6. Make a stranger smile.
7. Feel prepared for a test.
8. TURN 18! (6 days and counting!)
9. Make somebody's day.
10. Have one unforgettable night (NOT THAT KIND OF NIGHT SHEESH!)

THE INS AND OUTS OF COLLEGE

I've been in college for a good 2 months already, so I'm obviously a veteran and an expert, so I would like to share with you what I've learned in college thus far.
Shall we begin?
We shall!

THE INS AND OUTS OF COLLEGE PART 1:
1. You pick up your floormates habits. I started saying their phrases and imitate their facial expressions and what not. All the socal kids should stop resisting hella and just go with the flow, JUST SAYING!
2. DC (Dining Commons) food gets boring REAL fast and I swear the quality of food went down hill as well.
3. Bear Market will be your BFF (if you live in unit 3) when you're dying of hunger/thirst/candy at 1:52 AM. It's close and it takes points so it's basically free food!
4. A coed bathroom really is NBD. So what if you see a couple of butts when the guys pee with the door open? NBD. And facial/mustache hair in the sink, totally NBD.
5. Elevators are reserved for 4th floor and up. If you're floors 1-3 and you're not carrying a load of laundry or boxes, TAKE THE FUCKING STAIRS! Or be prepared to be silently and not so subtly judged. Or, better yet, not so silently coerced by the upper floors who have to wait for days while the elevator creaks up and stops at EVERY SINGLE floor.
6. Never do laundry on a Sunday afternoon. People literally wait there and pounce on any and all open machines. It's a dog eat dog world out there!
7. The elevators can be the most awkward place...EVER. Going from 5th floor to ground floor takes about 5 minutes and sometimes those 5 minutes seem to drag on for days and days.
8. Living close to campus is amazing! Do I care if my buildings older if I get the luxury of being able to wake up 15 minutes before classes start and still make it 5 minutes early? NOPE!
9. Bonding with your floormates can make all the difference. I love my floormates, I honestly would have no friends if it wasn't for them. I'm supppaaa blessed to have met such amazing people here. COOL.
10. Professors do not think you take any other class besides theirs which results in an exuberant amount of reading that is impossible to finish in a 2 day period. IMPOSSIBLE.
11. Floorcest and buildingcest (hooking up within your floor or building) is a terrible idea because I can guarantee that you will see them everywhere! In the lounge, in the halls, in the lobby, in the elevator, in the dining commons, on campus, and everywhere else on campus. It's inevitable.
12. Midterms are SRS BIZNESS.
13. Monsters and coffees are your BFFs during midterm season.
14. There is always drunk people outside your windows at night. GUARANTEED. It's almost always someone's birthday or fights happening. As I type, there's a loud fight occurring and it's 2:14 AM. GREAT.
15. Making friends in college is not easy. I don't mean friends that you wave at when you see or grab lunch together occasionally. I mean real friends that you can tell everything to. It's not an easy task to do in a school of 35,000. I thought it would be easy but I was proved wrong.
16. Procrastination is what kills you with school work. Living in a dorm where your friends are all outside your door is both a blessing and a curse. No one ever gets any work done here. But you always have someone to eat lunch with or talk to.
17. Partying get olds. Fast. After a month of partying every weekend, I'm already wary of it. It's always the same; the same people, the same drinks, the same music, the same frats. A better Saturday night is just a simple cozy night in with my friends. With people I care about and create memories I'll remember in the morning. I'm such an old lady. Oh well.
18. Freshmen 15 is real and it happens when you least expect it. The gym is both the enemy and the best friend. Such a bittersweet relationship.
19. Theres a lot to do at any given time. Especially in a college town like Berkeley, there is always something to do, you just have to be open to it.
20. Watch what you say and what you do, because it WILL come back and haunt you. Promise.

A little photo relief for a very text heavy post.
Sounds about right. Dreading finals week :(
AHAHAHAHAHAHA.
Being a possible psych major, this made me chuckle quite a bit. Probably too much.
This is so ridiculously and hilariously true.
HMMM I chose social life and enough sleep. WAIT NO, good grades and enough sleep? NO NO NO good grades and a social life...YEAAA, I can deal with that...right? Yeahhh, probably not.
So apparently this is actually a picture of the Berkeley library. Someone reallyyy wanted to get a spot in the library alright.
YUP, LOOKS ABOUT RIGHT. Although, I do believe there should be less blue and more red.
LOVE THIS. And it's true. Ramen parties reign supreme. Ask anyone and I'm almost positive they'll agree.

P.S. LOVE that FuckYeahCollege was created by a CAL student. REP!

P.P.S. YES, I'M SUPER OBSESSED WITH THE FUCKYEAH TUMBLRS, SO WHAT? WACHAA GON DO ABOUT IT HUH? HUHHH? JUST LEAVE ME BE!
