HEY HEY LA! (PART 3)

This is it. The last of my LA adventures, the end of the hoopla, the finale. TA DA! Let's begin.
Three girls, in LA, what to do, what to do?! We couldn't think of a better use of a day than to visit the holy bench that the amazing buttocks of Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Zoe Deschanel (among with a million of other die hard romantic's) have graced. I gladly smothered my own ass all over the bench to soak up all and any essence of the two that is still left on the bench. Not going to lie, I died a little on the inside. Died in a good way, my heart swooned all over the place. I promise, nee, I SWEAR I'm not a stalker....I SWEAR!
A little photo sess later, we needed a caffeine fix to prep us for the little drive back and to warm us up because the sun in LA never came up that day and left us with nothing but wind. Little did we know that everything in downtown LA closes by 5PM. UHM WHAT?! Confused? Indeed. But we eventually found a cute little organic coffee shop by UCLA that had delicious desserts that flavor-danced all over my tongue. Yummmmmm!

brown "explorer" skirt: taiwan ($3)
grey knee highs: target ($1)
mocassins: crossroads ($12)

vintage coach satchel: thrifted ($15)
The next day, our final day in LA, I HAD to make time to go to the Melrose Trading Post and I'm SOOO Happy I did! Let me just say, vintage heaven, OH DEAR LORD! Within 5 seconds of walking in we spotted a Rumi Neely look-a-like! I found gorgeous vintage items from leather bags to shabby chic furniture to leather boots! Everyone, boys and girls, there dressed amazingly well, I couldn't help but oogle and stare and drool (just a little). Sigh, I left my heart there and I need to return and retrieve it ASAP!
And that was it, the end of my six day trip in LA. I'm already starting to plan my next trip down!

MY BEARD IS FESTIVE

Yes, yes, it is. My desktop background so elegantly states it so.
A quick little post to get the holiday festivities rolling...
Instead of doing a holiday wishlist, I'm going to start a new tradition. This is the first (of many to come) holiday want-to-do-list! It's a compilation of sexy good looking men I wish I was getting all hot and heavy with underneath the mistletoe this Christmas.

My Holiday Want-to-do-list (you may look but don't you dare touch!):

1. Francisco Lachowski
The epitome of sexy, Francisco (aka Chico) is panty dropping hot. Of course he would be a brazilian male model, the brazilians have the sexy baby formula down solid (share with the rest of the world please! we need to share the sexiness!) Besides being oober good looking, he is adorable beyond words. Since he's only 18, he's super goofy and seems so down to earth, which makes him THAT much sexier, AH!

2. Enrique Iglesias
I personally breathed the same air as Enrique Iglesias for about 20 minutes and it was the best 20 minutes of my life. I almost died right on the spot as my life was then complete.

3. Joseph Gordon-Levitt
Just rewatched 500 Days of Summer and my love for JGL blossomed some more! I love how versatile this man is; from being slickly suave in Inception to adorably geeky in 10 Things I Hate About You to indie chic in 500 Days of Summer. And through all that, he manages to look unbelievably doable in every role.

4. James Franco
He's just so damn adorable and fuckable. And he's even wearing plaid, my kryptonite! Looking good with the scruff my man!

5. Andrew Garfield
Andrew is a newly acquired lover of mine. After seeing him as Eduardo in The Social Network, I fell. No, I swoooooned! He's so UUMMPH and MMMHM, I just want to AHHH! Good thing he's in the new Spiderman movie, and word on the street is that the crew spent a whole day trying to cover up his enormous..."package" for the movie. Yup, you heard me right. No more needs to be said.

MERRY CHRISTMAS WORLD!
HAPPY HOLIDAYS EVERYONE!

Be thankful for all you have, be grateful for all that is going well, be happy that you're alive because it's mothereffin' Christmas yo! Go out and party it up! Drink a little too much eggnog, eat like there's no tomorrow, love until your pores ooze out love, and do it BIG. Love you all and be safe in the most dangerous ways possible, YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN!

BLOGGERSTRUCK

Liz from Late Afternoon, Laura from Shop It To Me, Yvan Rodic from Face Hunter

Last night, FAST and BARE at CAL hosted a fashion/blogger forum with 3 very prominent bloggers. Beforehand I met up with Samantha from fazed-girl and it was surreal! Even though I feel like we're friends, buddies, comrades via internet, it's so weird actually meeting them in person! Sam was super friendly, cute and down to Earth. Back to the forum, it was set up as a huge session of Q&A and it was so amazing! I've been following Liz for awhile and finally seeing her in person was so overwhelming! She's even more beautiful in person (how is that even possible right?!) and tall! Oh boy is she tall! Ahh, I was so starstruck, I couldn't stop staring at her! Yvan Rodic was super well spoken (okay, I just thought his accent was beyond amazing) and silly. Laura was pretty quiet because the questions were aimed towards bloggers but she was extremely pretty and well dressed. Well, pretty much everyone was extremely well dressed and poised. It was intimidating how gorgeous everyone was, my heart was swooning at the shoegasm I was having throughout the WHOLE EVENT. Overall, I found the event to be very informative and helpful and all things pretty!

A new layout. A simple banner because the spoons and forks made me hungry every time I looked at it!

SLIM'S

A little review of the TWO DOOR CINEMA CLUB concert at the legendary Slim's.

Funeral Party:
I was in for a surprise. I tend to disregard opening acts because, come on, who really cares about them right?! It’s all about the main act; the opening acts usually make us all antsy and eager for the REAL act to finally emerge, no one really gives a thought about them. Well, this band truly surprised me. Not only did it make me shake shake shake but it made me nod, bop, and move everything I’ve got! They’re so full of rock-and-roll energy; it was excruciatingly addicting and infective. Even though I’ve never heard of them, much less know any lyrics, I was super into their beat and sound (I even tried to sing along, shhh!) It totally didn’t hurt that one of their guitarist (curly brown hair, stashe, v-neck, skinny jeans, socks/no shoes, ugh can you say yummy?!) was totally and utterly cute. On top of that, he hella rocked his guitar. Oh yea, you heard me, I said HELLLLAAA, he was just THAT good. To top it all off, he had the sexy-eyes-closed-because-I’m-so-into-my-music-I’m-in-my-own-little-world-and-nothing-else-fucking-matters-look on his face and it was SOOOOOOO sexy, AH! I DIE! LOVED THEM!

The Generationals:
After Funeral Party I was pumped and ridiculously ready for anything! The Generationals gave off a different vibe; a bit less of the rock-and-roll vibe and a little more indie pop. Hailing from New Orleans, this group’s is oober hipster to say the least. The bassist, who is SOSOSOCUTE by the way, was wearing a plaid button up, plaid boxers, cuffed jeans, and boat shoes without socks. I could NOT stop staring at him, he was THAT delicious looking, not to mention totally nice/funny/seemed genuine as he complimented how much he loved SF (bonus points!) Loved their poppy sound, it was infatuating. The bassist/guitarist (yes, he can play both!) would bop up and down as he played and it was soo cute! The girl drummer was so intense, something you don’t necessarily expect, and it was amazing! Instead of drinking beer like the guys, she had Starbucks. I don’t know why I was so intrigued by that but it totally stuck out to me. Her energy was a mixture of badass and sweet; I totally dug it. Overall, great band, great sound, awesome music. I’ll gladly see them again!

Two Door Cinema Club:
Now for the finale, the main act, the big shrimp (Drake and Josh reference anyone?): Two Door Cinema Club! They were down right AMAZING! They sounded so good live and everyone was just SO ready for them. Peaceful, no shoving or annoying “HAVE MY BABIES PLEASE! I WANT TO SEX YOU” from fan girls, it was an awesome experience just loosing yourself to their beat/lyrics. They literally brain fucked me, literally. It was epic. They were all so adorable with their little Irish accents and all. They totally looked like posh preppy boys in their oxfords and button ups and jamming out their electro indie pop, ahh it made them that much more attractive. What more can I say? They exceed all of my expectations and more, I enjoyed every single second of their 58 minute set. When the concert ended I was in such a euphoric state that I didn’t even attempt/want to leave. The energy they left us was a million times more than anything I’ve ever felt in a concert; this was easily one of the top 3 concerts I’ve ever attended. So worth the $21 ticket.

MEET FINLEY NORTON HASTINGS

I really must stop sleeping when the sun rises, it's becoming such a terrible habit! Astronomy midterm #2 is dunzo, YAY! It only took 8 1/2 hours of "studying", 2 coffees, 1 bowl of delicious curry, 2 hours of procrastination, a bear market run and more random chit chat for me to get any sort of substantial cramming in and I still left the midterm feeling like "EHHHBLEHH*(%&@%*(@&WHATEVER!!!" Thank goodness it's over and I refuse to look at the results anytime soon because it's finally THE WEEKEND! YESSS! Since I was feeling destined to fail, I decided to at least look a bit better than my bummy mood. I look studious, yeaa?

SO SOFT. SO PINK. SO LOVELY. I LIKIE.

I love this lacy crochety looking top. It's so simple and versatile, yet it adds a little OOMPH! to my outfits. And for $7, it was nothing but a WIN!
I can't help myself. I LOVE THESE GLASSES! I actually feel more studious with them on. Werid huh? My real glasses feel so neglected like I'm ashamed of them or somethings cause I never ever wear them out to see the light of day. It's not like I don't like my serious glasses or anything...it's just....I mean....EH...fuck it. THESE ARE CUTER. THERE. I SAID IT.
These heels feel so Madmen to me. I feel super proper and ladylike in them,

lacy top: ross ($7)
blue cardigan: taiwan
grey jeggings: choice
vintage like heels: buffalos ($19)
brown belt: thrifted ($4)
pink slouchy hat: crossroads ($12)
fake hipster glasses: party store ($5)
paris necklace: gift

And some of you may be confused by the title, "Who in the hell is this Finley fellow with the super weird pretentious name?!" Well, since I am now a mature young adult (BWAHAHAHA NOT!) I decided to finally take the plunge. A combination of a graduation, a congratulation, and an 18th birthday present, I finally purchased the Nikon D5000 that I've been eyeing ever since I laid eyes on it over summer.

This is Finley Norton Hastings. Ain't he a beaut?! I'm so in love. Siggghh, I just keep staring at him and feeling him and touching him and gazing at him. I CAN'T BE STOPPED!

SEXY SEX SEX SEXXX

Wild Child
Magazine: Marie Clarie UK
Issue: December 2010
Model: Leighton Meester (aka Blair Waldorf aka SEX GOD aka the reason for my hard on)
Photographer: Christophe Melmoon
Stylist: Lisa Oxenham

Leighton definitely looks like she's channeling Kate Beckinsale in this editorial right? Toootally. I am utterly in love with the massive curly swooshy hair picture; I just want to cuddle up and get forever tangled up in her soft swishy hair. She's also looking a bit like Eva Longoria, who's gorgeous as well. Not such a big fan of the colored photos, I'm not completely sure why, it might have to do with the fact that I dig her more as a brunette or something like that, there's just something off about the colored ones. But the B&W ones, mannnn, those definitely have me going GAGA! Girl is beautiful, she can really do no wrong in my eyes, gahh I have such a girl boner for her!

P.S. Just ordered myself a birthday present. It's a little bit on the extravagant/pricey side, but hey, a girl only turns 18 once right?! Well, technically it's a graduation/congratulations/happy birthday gift soo it's totally justified. YEAA. there we goo! What is it? Well, just wait and see! I definitely can't wait for its arrival!
