FIELD TRIP!

On Friday, some girls from the thrifting and revamping decal and I decided to take a little "field trip" to mission in San Francisco for some thrifting fun (despite the rain!) Even though I'm a bay area native, I don't explore SF nearly as much as I should. When I think of SF I think of Fisherman's Wharf, Powell, Union Square, the beaches, and Chinatown. I never think of the awesome, cool, dare I say hip districts outside of the normal tourist must-see places. That is because I'm lame. So anyways, mission was awesome! I loved EVERYTHING about it! From the ridiculous amount of thrift stores within a 2 minute walk from each other, to the authentic looking mexican food (which we are dearly deprived of in Berkeley, the only mexican food near us is chipotle and la burrita, which I love!), cafes, cute little indie shops, to chic boutiques! Even though I was the only one to come home empty handed, I think I got the most out of the trip! It was fun hanging out with some new people and making some new friends who loves to thrift, yay! I can't wait to go back for round 2 and 3 and perhaps 4!

It's definitely 6AM right now and I'm currently working on a 125 point essay that's 20% of my final grade that's due at 2:10PM today. WHY DO I ALWAYS DO THIS TO MYSELF? Yes, I received this assignment 6 weeks ago and yes, I could have avoided all of this stress/no sleep/eyelids falling/knee&back ache but I never seem to learn my lesson. It's like I LIKE to inflict self torture onto myself. BLEH GAAAH AHHH BITCHFEST$& ASDFJK; POOP!

BLUE AND GOLD TEARS

Yesterday was the Big Game against Stanford. Long story short, we lost. And the big fat raindrops signified how sad the world is about the fact that we lost the game. AXE GONE! (what's the axe you ask? CLICK!) Depressing huh? Yeah, totally. The half time performance totally made up for the fact that the weather was a bitch. The theme was "DANCE!" And the marching band played "Bad Romance," "Break Your Heart," and all these dance evoking music that the crowd ate up! Our band was WAY better than Stanford's, so HA!
CAL vs. STANFORD
CAL vs. STANFORD
CAL vs. STANFORD
CAL vs. STANFORD
CAL vs. STANFORD
Love my school no matter what, repping them blue and gold for life!

On another note, today is my floor's 3 months monthiversary. WE'VE BEEN LIVING TOGETHER FOR A WHOLE 3 MONTHS! Wow, what a feat, that's longer than my longest relationship (Sad, yes, pathetic, eh maybe, do I care? Not in the slightest). It's such a weird feeling. I feel like time flew the fuck by and I can't remember how we even spent it. Yet, looking back we have nothing but funny, hilarious, embarrassing, pathetic, sad, teary, adorable, perfect, imperfect, angry, annoying, giggly, memories together. It's hard to believe that 3 months ago we were nothing but a floor of strangers, scared to make any sorts of mistake that would anger/offend anyone on the floor. But now, it's like we're a family. Of course, we fight, we get mad, we yell, we say things we don't mean, but at the end of the day, I wouldn't want to come back to any other floor. When someone's puking their guts out, everyone bands together to make them feel better. No questions, no judgement, just help. When someone's crying, we're here to comfort them and give them a bunch of shoulders to lean on. When someone's happy, we're here to celebrate and be happy for them. When someone's too drunk to walk home, someone's here to make sure they get the fuck home and into bed. And if someone happen to fall, someone's always there to literally pick them up. It's such an incredible support system above all else. I totally lucked out and have the best floor a girl could possibly ask for. They make CAL a little more bearable (HAHA, GET IT? BEAR-able??!! HAHA!) each and every day. I love my floormates soo much, probably too much. I honestly have no idea what I would do without them.

EIGHTEEN CANDLES

It's official: I'm old, over the hills, legal, no longer jailbait, can buy porn & cigs, go to a strip club, get a lap dance, have sex, go to jail, win the lottery, and much much mucho more. I'm 18. So how did I celebrate my special day? At 12:00, my wonderful roommate tried to be sneaky (but failed). She managed to father 2/3 of our floor and stuffed them into our tiny room (I still have no idea how) while I was at the library and managed to get everyone to sing to me, which made me almost tear up. I love my pseudo norton family sooooo much!! Anyways, what else did I do...Hmmm well, I went to class. YUP. Being the nerd I am, I went to all my classes (which is only 2). After that I had dinner with my floor, which was nice, and we ended it with tiramisu and cheesecake (courtesy of my mommy!) It was a really nice birthday, probably one of the best I've had so far. It was one of those days where everything just seemed to go right you know?

So what did YOU do for your last birthday?!

My lovely friend from UCLA painted this and mailed it to me. I seriously teared up when I tore open the ambiguous package. I LURVEEE this soooo much!
Sillybands my friend from Davis mailed me and friendship bracelets from my loves!

ADMIST THE STARS AND PARALLAX

Astronomy homework. That I completely and utterly forgot about. EEKS! As always, I'm procrastination and waiting until it's practically due to start my assignment. When will I ever learn? Still, my addiction to tumblr is getting way out of hand. These inspirational photos make me feel on top of the world invincible and believe that anything is possible. It must be amazing to have that sort of mentality, I wonder if I'll ever be able to achieve it. I can only hope so.

Time for another list.
It's a bit like a bucket list.
Tailored just for me.

TEN THINGS I WANT TO DO BEFORE THE SEMESTER ENDS:
1. Hike, climb and conquer the Big C. Then proceed to have a lovely picnic on top of it.
2. Try something, anything that I haven't done before.
3. Finish an essay without having to pull an all nighter.
4. Appreciate something for the way it is and the fact that nothing needs to change.
5. Appreciate something for the way it is yet have the burning urge to change it.
6. Make a stranger smile.
7. Feel prepared for a test.
8. TURN 18! (6 days and counting!)
9. Make somebody's day.
10. Have one unforgettable night (NOT THAT KIND OF NIGHT SHEESH!)

So as some of you may have noticed (Come on, break out your Nancy Drew skills, you got this!), I got a haircut! I was definitely surprised at how short it is and how boyish I feel. Hopefully it'll grow on me and hopefully I'll find a way to work it. I think it will and I think I will.

This is what happens when my mother leaves me in the car for 15 minutes. PHOTOSHOOT WITH PHOTOBOOTH!

This past weekend, a couple of friends and I went on a mini road trip to UC Davis to visit some good friends. It was exactly what we needed! We did everything from running into really old friends, to trying out new froyo, to racing in roller chairs around the bike parking lot, to playing and stargazing in adult park, to smelling the smelly cows, to laughing like I haven't laughed in weeks. It. Was. Amazing. It thrilled me to no ends being able to just pick up where things left off with my friends, it's like nothing even changed. As always, going back home was great. It just hit me how fortunate I am to live close enough so I can venture home whenever I want. Even if I don't do it often, its just feels nice to have that option. Tomorrow's the start of another busy week at Cal. Let's hope I can get through it without another meltdown.

I WON'T WORRY MY LIFE AWAY

Jason Mraz got it right. Why waste precious time with such trivial matters? I surely will not. Life is fleeting by us and if we don't take the change to glance around here or there, it'll be gone before you know it. I'm just ecstatic that my midterms part one is OVER! YES! The outcomes can wait, I mean, I gave it my best shot and if it wasn't enough I can always try harder on the next test. NEW OUTLOOK ON LIFE! My weekend has officially begun. I'm contemplating just going home tonight so I can eat real food and do absolutely nothing with my fambam. Ahh that sounds like THE perfect Thursday to me. We'll see! Feeling real good today even though I am desperately sleep deprived, my life just seems...sunnier!

I haven't worn a skirt like this in suuuupaa long! It usually has something tucked in not the other way around. It's time for change. I dig it.

Tomorrow we shall embark on our expedition to Davis, how exciting! Time to enter the land of the cows, the farm animals, and the unbearable sun. I can't wait! Cow tipping anyone? (I JOKE I JOKE!)
