PRIM & PROPER LIKE OLD SCHOOL GLAMOUR

After my trip to buffalos exchange yesterday, I couldn't wait to show my new purchases to the world! But after walking around just 10 minutes, the balls of my feet were begging me to stop! "WHHHYY," I asked, and it simply replied "CAUSE I SAID SO, MEH!" So I googled it, and it seems to be a common problem among teenage girls who are developing and it usually hits girls who wear high heels often...I'm really really hoping I actually don't have this disease because the remedy is to wear a cast for 4 week. UHHHH....Today, I felt so prim and proper like an old school lady who's getting dolled up for her 9-to-5 job as a secretary for an important and rich businessman who she's currently having an affair with, SCANDALOUS!

Anyways. The Jack Johnson picnic with Chipotle burritos we had last night was amazing! His voice; so lush and beautiful, it makes you forget everything else that's wrong with the world and melt into his songs. The concert was an array of couples, love, happiness, and the pursuit of it. Despite not actually being in the concert, it was still pretty fun, if not more fun, just sitting around outside with dozens of other people. Our nighttime adventures didn't end there, then we started our quest for a bathroom and ended up in Bowles, which is the all men dorm. It was a gorgeous building that reminds us of Hogwarts, very old school. From there, we climbed out of a friend's window into this little ledge/balcony and listened to the last song Better Together...together. It was EPIC! After a quick tour and some wandering, we made our way back to our rooms and thus the end of our lovely Jack Johnson picnic and trio bonding time. The budget cut protest today cut my class really short, yay :) It's great that I go to a school where the professors and students are so active in exercising their rights, it's awesome. Time to get a little shut eye before the festivities of homecoming week commences.

PURRR

I HAD A LAUNDRY FIASCO. I cannot do my own laundry to save my life. Two loads. One dark one colored/white. BAD MISTAKE THAT I WILL NEVER EVER IN A MILLION YEARS EVER MAKE AGAIN. All my whites turned a pretty blushy pink and a good 1/3 of my dresses/longer shirts shrunk. Not only did they shrink but they shrunk a good 3, 4, 5 inches. THEY SHRUNK LIKE A SHRINK-A-DINK! Remember those? Gosh those were fun! Anyways, my newly acquired oversized leopard shirt was about 3 inches above my knees...not anymore! It's like a shirt now...oh well, I'll learn to survive.

Shrunken or not, I still love this shirt. It makes me feel...FIERCE. I just want to purr like a cheetah all day. Too bad I'd get so many weird awkward looks...or maybe not, it is Berkeley after all.

I cannot express just how EXCITED I am for the weekends in October. Why you ask? I'm finally going to be reunited with the loves of my life! I'm so extremely over the moons excited I want to jump out my windows and FLY! Too bad I would die hence why the windows are closed today. I'm not even going to tempt myself with such a dream.

EDITT??++ (5:41PM)
It was a little chilly when Julie and I went on a little shopping date, so I threw on a turquoise cardigan from f21.

First we hit up Zebras:

I had a lovely convo with this adorable girl who works there and bought this little beautiful seamless hoop. It was such a pain to get in, but totally and utterly worth it! I feel so badass with it, yeee!

And then we went to sway and buffalos exchange.
Got some cool stuff to show you guys next time!

Time to go enjoy a "free" concert from Jack Johnson, oh the lives of poor college kids!

COZY SMOZY

My eyes are half open.
Slightly staggering with every blink.
With only 2 hours and 20 minutes of sleep,
I'm more than ready enter dream world.
Sleep shall be delicious tonight.
I can hardly wait to be enveloped into another universe.
Such a cozy day.
I want to forever stay wrapped up in my strawberry-covered comforter.
Without pants on.
Just spanks.
& my oversized Berkeley sweatshirt.
It's lush,
You should try.

(This is a picture of the Pacific Ocean taken in Taiwan. If I could I totally would drag my bed upon the shore and gaze at the seemingly endless ocean all day long. The beach is beyond soothing and beautiful. It inspires me to dream and it reminds me that the world is phenomenal. I do some very deep thinking at the beach you best believe!)

JUST AN FYI, working out on an empty stomach and an hour of sleep is probably THE WORST IDEA EVER. I feel so faint.

IT'S LIKE I JUST STEPPED OUTSIDE WHEN EVERYTHING WAS GOING RIGHT

"But I wanna go home, hm I got to go home.
Let me go hooooommmmmeeeeeee,
I'm just too far from where you are, I wanna come home."

Oh Michael Buble, you've just summarized everything I've been feeling in the last couple of days so so very well. I've been playing this song on replay for what seems like forever and ever. I feel like I'm utterly living someone else's life and I'm starting to lose sense of myself. I'm not acting like myself these days; I'm so easily irritable, always in a bad mood, and never truly happy. I've fallen into some bad habits and my priorities are complete skewed. This isn't me. I'm not like this. It's starting to scare me. I used to be such a simple person; I liked midnight adventures, rooftop movies, chilling at my friends' doing absolutely nothing together, laughing huge hearty laughs that escalades to a crazy indescribable volume. I miss everything about home, everything. I miss the endless nights, the stupid jokes, the conspiracies we'd invent, getting lost driving around, watching boy meets world at 3AM, seeing "ghosts" on long roads, breaking and entering, star gazing on golf courses, bitch sessions, group cries, eating home cooked meals, and most of all, always having somewhere I could go and having people I could tell anything to. It's not like I don't have friends at Cal that I love, I really do and I don't know what I would do without them. I seriously got sooo lucky. But still, there's a huge part of me that yearns for a replay of senior year. I miss my old life. I was just starting to get comfortable when all of a sudden college came around. I never thought I'd feel this way. I didn't feel this way at first, but now, it's all I can think about. My friends were my life, they were my support system, my significant others, my other family.

Can't wait to utter these phrases:
"It'll all be alright,
I'll be home tonight,
I'm coming baaacckk home."

I miss you all and I love you.

My itunes knows me so well, You Make My Dreams Come True by Hall & Oates just came on and a smile instantly crept up on my face, it's simply impossible not to.

To go along with my bummy attitude, I'm dressing just as bummy.
Trying to look tough, thuggg life yo! Not. AHAHA
HI :D

Sorry for the crappy pictures, I can't wait to finally get a DSLR!

"MAYBE SOME WOMEN AREN'T MEANT TO BE TAMED.

Maybe they just need to run free til they find someone just as wild to run with them." So wisely said by Carrie Bradshaw. I can't help but agree with that statement. The act of taming someone seems so...almost degrading. I only say this because people should be able to fully be themselves in a relationship and taming them is stripping them of their identity. I bring this up because I was definitely channeling the great Carrie Bradshaw in my outfit on Thursday. Remember the opening scene where she's running around NYC in a tutu? I did the same, minus the NYC and replace that with Berkeley.

Being a college student who'd rather spend her food money on clothes ( I CAN'T BE STOPPED, IM A MONSTERRR!) I've picked up a few bad habits.
TIME FOR ANOTHER LIST!
bad habits I've picked up since I've been in college:
1. ARIZONA! yummy they are delicious, cheap as heck (especially during Walgreens 2/$1 promotion in which we stocked up for later uses)
2. Ramen. I. Have. So. Much. Ramen. Goodbye freshmen 15, hello freshmen 30!
3. Sleeping at 5AM. Even though I did that in high school on occasions, it's a regular habit now.
4. Making lists. Yes, it's not technically a bad habit, but the fact that I make them in order to procrastinate actually doing what's on my list is bad.
5. Ordering off the internet. IT'S SO CONVENIENT, I CAN'T HELP IT!

SO REAL, LIKE BUTTER

"Another year is fast approaching. Go be that starving artist you’re afraid to be. Open up that journal and get poetic finally. Volunteer. Suck it up and travel. You were not born here to work and pay taxes. You were put here to be part of a vast organism to explore and create. Stop putting it off. The world has much more to offer than what’s on 15 televisions at TGI Fridays. Take pictures. Scare people. Shake up the scene. Be the change you want to see in the world. You'll thank yourself for it."
-Jason Mraz

YES, YES, MANY TIMES YES! This is exactly how I want to, how I yearn to live my life. I just hope I'll find the courage to actually go through with it.

ITS THAT TIME AGAIN...

HAPPY OCTOBER, WORLD!
Since the ridiculous heat is finally starting to cool down, it's finally starting to feel like fall. YAY! Fall, ahhhh, it's definitely my absolute favorite season. And now you're wondering why right? Obviously.
...
and now I bring you the list
...
WHY I LOVE FALL:
1. It's the perfect temperature; it's not too cold, it's not too hot.
2. Watching the leaves change.
3. Watching the leaves fall.
4. Stepping on crunchy leaves and hearing it "crunch."
5. Being able to soup/hot drinks and not feel weird.
6. Cloudy days.
7. Fall fashion. Enough said.

SO BASICALLY, I love fall and trees and leaves.
oh, and fashion.
That pretty much sums it up.
